‘FOR YOUR BENEFIT’
AN
INTRODUCTION TO WELFARE RIGHTS.
21st,
27th and 28th March 2006
Over the last few years ShARP has developed a short
course on the basic understanding of Welfare
Benefits from criteria to entitlement and their
calculations. This course has previously been
run over a ten week period, however, many
organisations and individuals found this
constraining and so our advice officer has
developed a three day course which has been
funded by
The Sunderland Teaching Primary Care
Trust West Healthy City Fund and the Strategic
Initiative Budget.
This is the third of these courses and it has been
accredited through
The North East Open College Network
at level 1 (2 credits).
The course is open to
all members of statutory and voluntary agencies
and there are initially twelve places. Places will
be restricted to two per agency in the first
Instance. The fee for
this course is £100 per person although a
subsidy may be available to voluntary
organisations. There will be a £50.00 cancellation
fee The course will be run over a three day
period 9.30am – 3.00 pm. For more
information please contact our office
