Universal Credit - The News #UniversalCreditSunderland From 25th July new claims for most benefits / tax credits for working age people in Sunderland will usually be for Universal Credit. Check Universal Credit is the right benefit for you. You do not need to claim Universal Credit otherwise until the Department of Work and Pensions tell you to claim


ShARP presents Crafty Creators! Parents/carers and children are invited to our free and fun craft and snack session for children aged 3-11. Sessions will be every Wednesday between 1pm and 3pm during the school holidays and are delivered by Crafty Creator Catherine. All Welcome! 'Know IT All' Drop-In sessions at ShARP! Whether you're new to IT or want to expand your current skills, we have an exciting opportunity for you to enhance your digital skills. We are offering free and fun drop-in sessions to get you up-to-date with a variety of computer skills. The course runs weekly and all are welcome. There will also be the opportunity to gain qualifications. Running every Tuesday 10am-12pm.

Regional winner of North East charity award announced by Garfield Weston FoundationREGIONAL WINNER OF NORTH EAST CHARITY AWARD ANNOUNCED BY GARFIELD WESTON FOUNDATION

The first ever North East regional winner of the Weston Charity Awards, that sees charities across the North of England being mentored by senior business leaders, has been revealed.

Over the last year, six charities from across the North East have had access to a team of senior business leaders through the organisation Pilotlight, as part of the awards. Horden Youth & Community Centre (HYCC), which helps disadvantaged and isolated families in one of the most deprived areas of the country, was eventually chosen as the first ever regional winner.Find Out More >
